America’s Restaurant

When God chooses to place this restaurant’s banner in your path:

You do not disparage Him. You pull over.

You may step out of your car with second thoughts, beginning to question the nature of the food therein. But He soothes your fear with a subtle affirmation of its quality:

Initially, I assumed this was a restaurant built upon the KFC Famous Bowl concept, which the founder decided to improve upon (tub > bowl).

Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the restaurant was primarily Mexican, and prepared their tacos in the traditional method of stuffing the meat in the shell, deep-frying the entire thing, and dusting it with powdered cheese:

Though one of these is translucent enough to satisfy my palate, I also ordered a “pocket burger,” which appears to be a burger of loose meat prepared the same way:

One bite into that pocket of deep-fried meat slurry and you’ll agree: God bless America, and in particular Kansas City.
